MEET THE TEAM Les Davis, Clint Howle, David Stephenson, and Jason Campbell are the principles of American Decorative Concrete Supply Co. which engineered and manufactures the Dye-N-SealT and AmeripolishT products. Les, Clint, and David are the principles of Patriot Sprayer Systems, Inc. which features a unique acetone resistant sprayer. All partners gained their experience and knowledge as contractors in the decorative concrete arena. THE PRODUCTS Dye-N-SealT Decorative Concrete Dye and AmeripolishT Polished Concrete Dye are solvent-based dyes that DRY in LESS than ONE minute. The dye ships in powder form, which means it is very LIGHT. There are NO hazardous material freight charges, it can be shipped affordably overnight or next day if needed, and there are NO shelf life limitations. The dye is mixed as needed with acetone, by the professional applicator. Once mixed, it is applied by pump-up sprayer onto the desired surface. The Patriot Specialty acetone resistant Sprayer is the ONLY sprayer currently available on the market specifically engineered for this use. Both products are available in a diversity of rich colors NOT available in traditional acid stains. In addition, colors may be combined to achieve half tones and new colors. The acetone diluted dye deeply penetrates the concrete surface, and unlike acid stains, it is NOT dependant on chemical reaction, and therefore not subject to the diverse problems often encountered with reactive acid stains. Since these solvent based dyes do not require neutralization or residual cleanup with water, there is lesser risk of any potential moisture vapor issues with topical solvent based sealers. Once the dye is dry, which is ONE MINUTE or less, and you are satisfied with the results, it can be sealed immediately using your favorite brand of solvent based or water borne sealers. The applicator really does not need to know a lot about concrete in order to apply this product. However, we highly recommend that ONLY Professional Decorative Concrete Applicators, who are accustomed to work with volatile and flammable solvents use the Dye-N-SealT or AmeripolishT products. The Dye-N-SealT and AmeripolishT systems are being added to the CRNI course curriculum. We are in the process of completing an instructional DVD which features application techniques and a variety of decorative options on the use of the Dye-N-SealT and AmeripolishT products.
